Golf Tournament
Each July, we host our annual Zach’s Effect Golf Tournament. This community-driven event brings together friends, family and local supporters for a day of golf, connection, and giving back.
The Tournament features major raffles, sponsorship opportunities and strong local business involvement – something Zach would have loved.
Funds raised from the golf outing support Diabetic Alert Dogs of America helping families especially children access life saving service dogs. Because Zach lived with T1 diabetes this cause is deeply personal to us. Diabetic alert dogs provide safety, independence, and peace of mind to those managing this condition everyday.

Birthday Celebration
In October, we celebrate Zach the best way we know how with a birthday celebration at a local bar and grill, surrounded by community, laughter, and love.
This Event honors Zach’s vibrant spirit and passion for bringing people together. Proceeds from the birthday celebration are donated to a local animal shelter, reflecting his lifelong love for dogs animals and supporting local.
It’s not just a fundraiser it’s a celebration of who Zach was and the joy he brought into the world.
Additional Community Events & Outreach
Beyond our two signature events, Zach’s Effect stays active throughout the year by participating in and hosting additional community initiatives.
We proudly take part in the local St. Patrick’s Day Parade whenever
possible — a tradition that meant so much to Zach, who regularly marched with the local businesses he worked for and supported.
We partner with local animal shelters for pop-up events, such as Christmas photos with Santa for dogs, and we sponsor and support other local charitable events whenever we can.
Each year, we also donate a full Thanksgiving dinner to a family in need and we support Olsen Christmas Wish (OCW) to help make Christmas brighter for families — continuing Zach’s spirit of quiet generosity and community care.
We participate and support with Interboro Pub Tour for a Cure each Spring to help raise money for a cure for T1D and we have also sponsored a girls softball team, all the things Zach loved or were important to him. Whether big or small, every event carries the same purpose: to bring people together and create a positive effect in Zach’s name.
