Zach’s Effect was created to honor the life and legacy of Zachary Englehardt—He truly lived life to the fullest and inspired everyone lucky enough to know him.
Zach was larger than life. He loved his family fiercely, stood by his friends without hesitation, and cared deeply about his community. His laugh was loud, genuine, and contagious, the kind that filled a room with his energy and made everyone around him feel welcome. To Zach, no one was ever a stranger—just a friend he hadn’t met yet.
What made Zach unforgettable was his relentless ambition and his incredible thirst for life. He dreamed big, pushed limits, motivated others, and believed that anything was possible with hard work, heart, and determination. He inspired others to believe in themselves, and motivated people to push beyond their limits. Zach didn’t just talk about making an impact—he did it.

Zach was the kind of person you felt (and heard) before you even saw him—his energy filled every room, his presence impossible to miss. With a contagious, unforgettable laugh and a spirit that lifted everyone around him, Zach had a way of turning ordinary moments into something memorable.
He was a true friend in every sense—motivating, encouraging, and always pushing those he loved to be just a little better, living by his belief in becoming “1% better everyday.”
He had a deep love for animals, a passion for supporting local businesses, and a constant drive to explore, adventure, and experience life to its fullest.
Around town, Zach was known as “the mayor”—not because of a title, but because of how many lives he touched. He seemed to be everywhere at once, always on the move, always connecting with someone. We often joked he must have had more than 24 hours in a day—there was no other way to explain how much he did and how many people he reached.
Well-known in the car business and throughout Stroudsburg, Zach’s impact extended far beyond—it was his personality, his generosity, and his genuine love for people that made him unforgettable.
His legacy lives on in every act of kindness, every local business supported, and every life inspired to live a little fuller—just like he did.
Our Mission
At Zach’s Effect, our mission is to keep Zach’s spirit alive through community, generosity, and a deep commitment to giving back. Zach lived his life with boundless energy, heart, and a passion for uplifting those around him — and everything we do is a reflection of that.
Through our annual events and the generous support of donors like you, we are able to fund Diabetic Alert Dogs of America — providing life-saving service dogs to families and children living with Type 1 diabetes, a cause that was deeply personal to Zach as someone who lived with T1 diabetes himself — and contribute to local animal shelters that reflect his lifelong love for dogs and his dedication to supporting the community around him. Every dollar raised, whether through our events or direct donations, goes toward causes that truly mattered to Zach and helps ensure that the ripple effect he created during his life continues to grow, inspire, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
